It’s easy to find an audio in a PowerPoint slide but its not that easy to find a way inside the program to extract the audio out of it. So how do we extract audio from a PowerPoint file? There are two easy ways to extract audio from a PPT file, one is renaming the file with the extension(.zip).
Right Click on the PowerPoint file and select rename.
Select the entire name of the presentation and rename it by adding .zip at the end. Windows will covert the ppt file to a zip file, Open or extract it and search the media folder for the audio file you are looking to extract.
Note: The above method may or may not work in the new versions of of Windows or PowerPoint
The Second easy way to extract audio from a PowerPoint:
The other way around is by using an extractor software, to do that download 7zip application and install it in your PC.
Now right click on the PPT file of yours and from the contextual menu select 7zip and then select Extract to (your file name).
This will create a folder with the presentation name. Open the folder, you will find three folders — among them open ppt folder then open media folder. Here you will find all the video and audio files used in the presentation . Play and find out the audio you are looking for.
Note: The folders may vary depending on the presentation but the source folder for audio or video files is always ‘media’ so search in media folder for any media content you want to get outside the presentation.
