Making Presentation becomes very easy when you know the shortcuts in PowerPoint. Today we will explore 15 common and east shortcuts to master PowerPoint 2016 like a professional.

 

1. Ctrl + A: Control plus A, select everything you have in the presentation you are working.

2. Ctrl + C: Control plus C copies any highlighted or selected element within the open presentation.
Saves the time and stress which would have been used to right click and click again just to copy. Use ctrl+c.

3. Ctrl + N: Control plus N opens a new window.
Instead of clicking File, New, blank/ template and another click, just press Ctrl + N and a fresh window will appear instantly.

4. Ctrl + P: Control plus P prints the active document.

5. Ctrl + O: Control plus O opens a new program.
Use ctrl +O when you want to locate or open a file or program.

6. Ctrl + S: Control plus S saves a new document or file and changes made by the user. Just press Ctrl+S and everything will be saved.

7. Ctrl +V: Control plus V pastes copied elements into the active area of the program in use.

8. Ctrl + W:  Close the page you are working on when you want to leave the work environment.

9. Ctrl + X:  Cut elements (making the elements to disappear from their original place).
Use ctrl+x when you think “this shouldn’t be here and I can’t stand the stress of retyping or redesigning it in the rightful place it belongs”.

10. Ctrl + Z:  undo actions.
Can’t find what you typed now or a picture you inserted, it suddenly disappeared or you mistakenly removed it? Press Ctrl+Z to bring it back.

11. Ctrl + Y:  redo an undone action.
Ctrl+Z brought back what you didn’t need? Press Ctrl+ Y to remove it again.

12. Alt + F4: Closes active windows or items.
You don’t need to move the mouse in order to close an active window, just press Alt + F4 if you are done or don’t want somebody who is coming to see what you are doing.

13. F12: This enables user to make changes to an already saved document.
F12 is the shortcut to use when you want to change the format in which you saved your existing document, password it, change its name, change the file location or destination, or make other changes to it. It will save your time.

14. Ctrl + F6: Navigates between open windows, making it possible for a user to see what is happening in windows that are active.
Are you working in Microsoft Word and want to find out if the other active window where your browser is loading a page is still progressing? Use Ctrl + F6.

15. F1: This displays the help window.

When you play a presentation you can use some keys or combination thereof, for some elementary auxiliary actions. Here are 9 Keyboard shortcuts to Make Life Simple with Slideshow Presentation.

  •  Start the presentation: F5 

  •  Go to a particular slide: Slide number + ENTER 

  • Place the blank black screen momentarily: (Period) .
    Press the same key to return to the presentation. 


  •  Set black white screen momentarily: (Comma).
    Press the same key to return to the presentation. 


  •  Transform your mouse cursor into a pointer: CONTROL + Mouse click. 

  •  Transform your mouse cursor into a feather: CONTROL + P 

  •  Hide annotations made ​​with pen: CONTROL + M 

  • Clear the annotations made ​​with pen: E

Having the habit of using keyboard more than the mouse is a pretty good sign of training yourself in more professional way. And with the keyboard shortcuts we enlist each day, you can improve your knowledge and save a lot of time.

So, here are the Keyboard Shortcuts for Moving between slides in PowerPoint 2013. These shortcuts work when you have presentation that has few slides  and opened in PowerPoint 2013.

The most easy and familiar way to move around slides in a presentation is to press the Page Down and Page Up keys:

  • Page Down: when you’re working on a presentation and want to navigate to the next slide then just press Page Down.
  • Page Up: when you’re working on a presentation and want to navigate to the previous slide then just press Page Up.

‘Or’ simply use the vertical scroll bar on the right side of the window to navigate through your presentation:

  • Double-headed arrows: You can move to next or previous through a presentation one slide at a time by clicking the double-headed arrows at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar.
  • Single-headed arrows: You can also scroll forward or backward through a presentation by clicking and holding the single-headed arrow at the top or bottom of the vertical scroll bar. (Note: if the zoom factor is set to visible single slide in the presentation window, then while clicking the single-headed arrows, the navigation moves to the next or previous slide.)
  • Scroll box: Another way to move quickly from slide to slide in a presentation is by dragging the scroll bar up or down. When you drag the scroll bar and stop dragging at a certain point, a little tooltip pops up next to it providing information about the slide which is going to be displayed.
