In today’s post we will explore how to print a PowerPoint presentation in the new version. We will also explore the custom and advanced printing options available in PowerPoint.
Printing a Presentation in PowerPoint 2016
Click the File tab > Click Print. ALT + F, P or CTRL + P

it opens print windows, this will show a full range of print options all available on one page, including a preview of the document.
Working with Print Settings – Select what you print
Print All Slides – It is selected by default and prints the entire worksheet.
Print Selection
Print Current Slide
Custom Range
Print Layout Options
– Full Page Slides (default), Notes Pages, Outline
Handouts
– Select number of slides per page and to print either horizontal or vertical
Frame Slides
– Add frame to each slide; check to toggle on and off
Scale to Fit Paper (set as default)
– Check to toggle on and off
High Quality
– Check to toggle on and off
Print Comments and Ink Markup
– Available if the presentation contains comments and/or markups; check to toggle on and off
Print One or Two Sided
- Print One Sided will only print on one side of the paper.
- Print on Both Sides – Flip pages on the long edge will print on both sides of the paper and flip the page over clipboard style.
Note: Your printer must be capable of duplexing for this option. - Print on Both Sides – Flip pages on the short edge will print on both sides of the paper and flip the page over book style.

Collated or Uncollated
- Collated 1,2,3…1,2,3 will print the worksheet in ordered sets.
- Uncollated 1,1,1…2,2,2 will print the worksheet in stacks of each page.
Color – You can choose to print your presentation in color, Grayscale or Pure Black and White.
Edit Header & Footer
Slide Tab – Set up the header and footer to include on your slides.
Clicking Don’t show on title slide keeps the title slide clear
Apply will only apply the information to the slide you are currently accessing. This allows you to include a special footer on specific slides
Notes and Handouts Tab
– Set up the header and footer to include on your Notes and Handouts. Any information included will appear on all printed pages.Note: These headers and footers will NOT appear in our presentation.
