Snowing! who doesn’t love snow? it adds a calm nature to everything it touches even to the digital world. Greetings that come with snow backgrounds do bring out the cool feel even when there’s no snow outside. So, how about creating these amazing natural elements in PowerPoint bu just using the shapes and simple animations?
As always we repeat this sentence that — Animations in PowerPoint can open windows to your imagination. With little creativity and ideas you can create amazing scenes in PowerPoint and you don’t need to be any professional. All you need to know is what animations to apply and how you can make use of the shapes in the PowerPoint. So in this small piece of tutorial we will walk you through animations that allow you create natural looking snow flakes in PowerPoint.
What you will need?
Microsoft PowerPoint (2010, 2011, 2013)
– For this tutorial we are using PowerPoint 2013.
Follow these steps and observe the images to create animated snow flakes in PowerPoint:
1) Open a Blank Presentation, change the slide background to solid black. See Figure 1 below.
2) Now go to the Insert option within the Ribbon and choose Oval Shape.
3) Change the shape fill to gradient and set the gradient colors to black and white Set the Outline to No Fill.
4) Now re-size the shape to a tiny level, from the format shape options, Apply Glow effect to the shape
5) Now that we have snow flake created, lets apply animation to the shape. From the Animations within Ribbon select the Line from motion path category,
6) After applying the animation, its time to move the shape and enter animation properties i.e duration and repeat. See Figure below and set the values as same as the figure.
7) Now duplicate the shape and create s many slow flakes you want to apply and don’t forget to set different animation delay values, and also increase lengths of the animation path. You can also increase or decrease the sizes of snowflakes.
That’s it you are done creating snow flakes, now play your presentation in SlideShow view and feel snow like scene inside your computer. You can now change the slide background to create new cool look and you can add some clip arts such as trees etc. and create cool scenes in minutes. You can also export them as videos as well.
