Keeping your audience focused on the subject is really sophisticated job, you need to make sure your speech is being heard to the last row & also make sure you are on the exact slide. As a presenter we are aware of what comes next in our presentation but for the audience, its a surprise, that can either encourage their anxiety or just keep them lay low. But how does the audience know – on which slide presentation is proceeding? Or What has been covered so far?
According to Carmen Simon (Rexi Media) “Audience remember only the 10% of the presentation, either its a beginning or an end, and whatever the difference you have to make has to be done in between these very slides.” I quite with the statement but if your presentation is more of visual knowledge supported by easy vocal, then the audience will feel more interested in paying attention to what comes next. So to keep them concentrated on the presentation and know the progress of the presentation, it is advised to use simple transitions between slides.
How to Add Simple Transitions To Slides?
When you open your presentation in PowerPoint, you have the option to select individual slide and add transition, or you can select multiple slides and apply a simple transition such as fade/wipe.
