What is a presentation that doesn’t present the central idea, topic or the theme? Presentations are powerful communication tools to present the ideas. And there is one place where ideas are presented in a perfect perspective, this is place where ideas are worth spreading and its none other than TED.
TED brings out the best ideas across the earth that are life changing, inspiring, highly motivating and more… And this below part of text is from TED’s blog published on July 2014. We believe this will help our visitors & presentation makers make their presentations more professional.
Here are the 10 tips to make slides communicate your idea:
1) Think about your main message, structure its supporting points, practice it and time it—and then start thinking about your slides.
2) Create a consistent look and feel slides – create a few slides to hold sample graphic elements and then copy what you need from those slides.
3) Apply Topic Transition, this will keep your audience focused on the presentation and be aware of the topic changes and also the topic you are on.
4) Less text is more always: Keep you slides with less text and more visuals
5) Use Images That Reflect your Point
6) Don’t use complicated animations or transitions
7) Use Masking to highlight the part / person present in the slide
8) If your presentation contains video, don’t set it to auto play
9) Use graphs more simple and understandable
10) Use images as slide backgrounds by setting there transparency level in between 95-100
This tips can help your presentation deliver your idea directly to your visitors without distracting them from the topic. So go ahead and try them on your slides
